VISIT TO AN ORTHODOX MONASTERY

After lunch at a restaurant in Mayenne, we visited the Bois Salair Orthodox Monastery, a timeless moment with Sister Nectarie, in the heart of the Bois Salair forest.
Then we could see the factory making liturgical candles and decorative beeswax candles.
We discovered the ‘Jardin des Simples’, where medicinal and aromatic plants are used to make soaps, massage oils, balms, syrups and teas.
Finally we visited the chapel and the store for monastic products.
