A chance to learn all about calvados and to see around “CAVES CHATEL” in the morning, then have lunch nearby.
Timetable
10:30 Meet at the caves (calvados cellars). [Parking spaces in the church square.]
12:30 Lunch at Restaurant “Le Cheval Blanc”
Afternoon: a wander round lovely Bagnoles de l’Orne, a short drive away, for those who want to.

The Caves
Tour of, and talk about, the Calvados cave with a history of the family/enterprise and an explanation of the fabrication of Calvados.
We will finish with a dégustation of their specialities, Pom’Cherry, La Bagnolèse and Calvados.
This free tour will last between 1 & 1½ hours.
It will also be possible to ask about their wine sales if anyone is interested.

The €12 daily menu is:
