May 2016 – Pie & Ale
A PIE & ALE EVENING WITH PUB GAMES was held
on FRIDAY, 13 MAY 2016 at
Les Châteliers in MAYENNE.
Forty-eight members should have had some right fun and games, but once the kir Royale had been served, the pub games didn’t get a look in! We just had fun !
Lynn Chesters and her team of helpers had prepared a choice of pies: Steak and Ale, Chicken and Ham, Minced Beef and Onion, Mixed Vegetable or Fish …………..all with Mash and Peas.
Followed by assorted cheeses, and a selection of desserts.
The beer came from BAM, the micro-brewery in the tiny village of Montflours, between Laval and Mayenne, which we visited last year. Wine and soft drinks and coffee were also served.
