Peonies in Spring

We will begin our day at the Peony Conservatory which is ‘nestled in the medieval moats of the majestic Château de Sourches’. There grow ‘the largest collection of peonies in the world! In 2024, more than 3,200 different varieties were recorded’.
Then off to lunch in a local restaurant called “Auberge Le Petit Pont” located in Tennie, a charming village of the Sarthe department that lies on the left bank of the river “Vègre”.
After lunch we will continue our day at “Le Paradis de la Charnie”, an Alpaca farm. There we will experience a unique moment with alpacas and other animals. We will discover, approach, and maybe even touch this calm, intelligent and docile animal. We will learn about its lifestyle, its diet, its reproduction and the invaluable characteristics of its fleece.
